Homemade hummus only takes a few minutes to make and is so much better for you than the oil packed stuff you find at the grocery store. This creamy and fluffy hummus is great on falafel, spread on a sandwich, and great for dipping vegetables and pita chips. The seasoning is mild, so by all means if your taste buds desire, add some extra spice.
¼ c + 2 T water
1 can of chickpeas – drained and rinsed
½ raw cashews
1 t minced garlic or 2 cloves
2 t liquid aminos
2 T nutritional yeast
½ lemon – juiced
1 t vegan Worcestershire sauce
½ t smoked turmeric + more for garnish (optional)
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and combine until smooth and fluffy!
